I just discovered this email in my spam mailbox telling me that 7 (!!!) pieces of my art have been nominated for McShep Awards. O_o Dude. I... don't know what to say, it seems almost surreal. Thank you so, so much! WOW. Love y'all. Passionately. <3<3<3



And because this confuses me all the time - most of my arts were drawn and painted using Photoshop, does that make it belong to the category of Handdrawn/Painted or Digital Art? *is so deeply indecisive* HELP.

ETA: I forgot to mention this, but because of the two per category rules, I have to take out four of them. I just finished my survey, after much, much agonizing, and I'm so sorry if you (whoever that might be) have nominated the ones that I removed. It still means a lot to me, and I just wanted to say thank you again. Thank you very much!

\o/ It only goes in digital art if they differentiate between manips, icons, wallpapers, etc, and digitally hand drawn art. Deviant Art, for example, was pretty specific that it wanted even hand drawn photoshop stuff to be under "digital art".

Also, your icon looks like something cold just ended up in a sensitive place.

Ok, disclaimer, I don't know anything about these awards. I'm just going on the logic that you want your pictures competing with hand drawn/colored pieces rather than altered photos. That could mean you put it in digital art or not.

But they are differentiating between manips, icons, wallpapers and...wait a second, don't remember if they had a manip section. But they did have wallpapers, icons etc as different from handdrawn/painted and digital art. Damn, maybe I should have just asked. *goes to ask*

YAY! I'd forgotten about whether they had a manip section. It seems likely then that I have categorized mine correctly. I just emailed them about it though, so if they answer differently, will let you know. And congratulations :D

Huh, I got one after I finished my survey (it was on the "thank you, you submitted successfully (or something like that)" page).

But when I was posting this, I didn't actually finished the survey (because of the sub category thingy), and I saw the banner all over my flist, assumed I'd get one after submitting the survey thing, so I just copied the image address. What can I say, I wanted the sparkly banner. *g*
